Chakras 
Chakras are (invisible) spinning vortex centers of energy. There are seven main chakra centers aligned in a central column that start at the crown of the head and end at the base of the spine. Chakras receive and transmit the life force energy which balances and harmonizes our emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical self. Each chakra is located at a certain area along the central column and each is associated with certain characteristics as described below.
 
Crown (7th) Chakra 

Located at the crown of the head. Associated with the color violet, spiritual realm, and the central nervous system. When balanced, one might experience compassion, a sense of oneness, unconditional love, peace, and harmony. When imbalanced, one might experience an adversity to spirituality, selfishness, or head congestion.
 
Third Eye (6th) Chakra 

Located just above and in the center of the brow. Associated with the color indigo, the pineal, and psychic abilities. When balanced, one might experience clairvoyance, hightened intuition, hightened awareness. When imbalanced, one might experience closed-mindedness, headaches, or validates only the five senses. 
 
 
Throat (5th) Chakra 

Located at the throat. Associated with the color blue, the throat, and the thyroid. When balanced, one might experience clear communication, ease of expression, and will. When imbalanced, one might experience difficulty communicating, unclear thinking, problems with the thyroid, throat, or mouth. 
 
 
Heart (4th) Chakra 

Located at the center of the chest. Associated with the color green, the heart, and love of self. When balanced, one might experience balanced self love, trust, ease with giving and receiving. When imbalanced, one might experience conditional love, fear of loving, or circulatory problems.
 
 
Solar Plexus (3rd) Chakra 

Located at the center of the stomach area just above the navel. Associated with the color yellow, the stomach, and personal power. When balanced, one might experience strong self esteem, balanced will/power, processing emotions well. When imbalanced, one might experience anger, difficulties relating to outer world, issues with personal power.
 
 
Sacral (2nd) Chakra 

Located in the area below the navel and just above the hips. Associated with the color orange, the sex organs, relationships. When balanced, one might experience a sense of well-being, sense of boundaries, healthy sexuality. When imbalanced, one might experience low self-esteem, jealousy, inhibited in experiencing pleasure.
 
 
Root (1st) Chakra 

Located at the base of the spine. Associated with the color red, fear, and kidneys. When balanced, one might experience groundedness, high motivation, and strong survival instincts. When imbalanced, one might experience insecurity, frustration, and issues around money.
