Naturopathy "Naturopathy has existed since the days of Hippocrates. It represents the complimentary view of practitioners who work within the tradition of Hygieia, the Ancient Greek goddess of health: that health is normal, life lived to the full in harmony with one's nature, and that ill-health is not caused by the interference and actions of an external entity but comes as a reminder to oneself to live a more harmonious life." - Stewart Mitchell, A Practical Guide to Naturopathy Naturopathy is a natural approach to health care. The practice of Naturopathy has evolved to include a multitude of natural modalities and offers alternatives to the modern medical approach of surgery and prescription medications. My approach to natural health includes working with each individual to identify factors of the mind, body, and spirit that contribute to the root cause of "dis-ease" and illness. All "dis-ease" and illness must be eliminated by way of the root cause. Treating symptoms with prescription drugs and surgery is a temporary patch at best. The root cause of all "dis-ease" and illness begins at the emotional level. All emotions that cause detrimental stress to our system fall under the categories of fear and anger. In order to treat the root cause, anger and fear must be addressed. We will consider your current thought patterns and discuss new thought patterns that can go right to work changing your perceptions and healing you on every level. | Body Your body is a gift, no matter its size, shape, or current condition. The goal is to support the body in functioning normally and optimally so that it can return to and maintain a state of homeostasis. We will discuss the importance and uses of various natural options such as hydrotherapy, nutrition, posture, movement, and physical environment. | Spirit Your spirit fills the perfect divine template of your physical incarnation in this lifetime. We were all born with spiritual gifts, talents, and resources. We will discuss these and how to recognize and put them to use for your highest good. We will cover what role spirit has in disease and illness and why spirit is vital to your health in this lifetime. |
